SO
excited about today’s post! I’ve been planning this birthday party for a
few months now and finally got to put it all together this weekend. The
expression of joy on the birthday boy’s face when he saw everything was
priceless!
Like
many four year olds, this little guy loves super heroes! His room is
filled with Avengers toys, Spiderman posters and super hero sheets. So,
when it came time to plan his birthday party, a super hero theme was the
obvious choice. However, I’m not personally a fan of character-themed
parties and wanted to try a different spin. I took my inspiration from
the old vintage comic books and sprinkled in a couple characters here
and there.
The main food table was loaded with salty and sweet treats…”Captain America Cupcakes”, “Super Carson Cakepops” (by April’s Cake Pops), “Pop!corn”, “Bam Bites”, “Super Power Pills”, “Pow! Punch”, “Super Hero H2O” and last but not least, a fabulous polka dot birthday cake.

The
kids {thoroughly} enjoyed the superhero changing station, where they
were each equipped with a handmade superhero cape, a handmade superhero
mask and an inflatable sword. There was lots of running around and
“POWING” each other! We
also had a coloring station and an “Attack the Villian” bowling game.
The superhero outfits definitely won first place with the kids, though.
Custom cakepops were a great touch!
What did you make the capes out of?
ReplyDeleteThanks!
I love this! Can I buy the decor or printibles somewhere?
ReplyDeleteThe capes were just cut out of solid cotton fabric and then we adhered velcro strips to fasten them closed. I actually designed the printable set myself b/c I couldn't find anything out there for sale that exactly matched the look we were going for!
ReplyDeleteWhat did you use to make the popcorn wrappers? Also, did you design and print all of your images at home or did you use a company? Knockout job!
ReplyDeletecould you tell me more about how you made the capes? Those look great! What an awesome party!
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry, I was wanting to know more about the shape you cut out to make the capes....thanks again!
ReplyDeleteI was looking at some of your posts on this website and I conceive this web site is really instructive! Keep putting up.. free shipping party decorations online
ReplyDeleteIt is very difficult in today's commercialized world not to be familiar with Spider-Man. And it doesn't matter whether you have young school age children, you're in college or like me... you're as "old as dirt", we have all been exposed to this most unlikeliest of all "Super Heroes". ReplyDeleteA super-hero is a fictional character - typically an adventurer or vigilante of some sort - with superhuman powers or abilities (physical, mental or spiritual in nature), whose exploits are chronicled almost entirely in comic books or other media adaptations of those comic book adventures. These are typically children's cartoons, but several super-hero movies have been released in the past 10 years. miamisuperhero reviews
